Honorable Mentions

Real people.  Real stories.

To all those that took the time to enter their arbor, pergola or accessory into our 2007 New England Arbors Photo Contest, thank you.

Although all of us at New England Arbors enjoy seeing our products constructed and the inspired placement of them, choosing the winners for our 2007 Photo Contest was a very difficult decision.

Each of the entries had such appeal. You could see the love, sweat and pride put into each one.

Using a ballet voting system, we were able to decipher the winners. Again, this was a very close contest and although your name may not be listed as one of the top three winners, you should be proud of the beauty and charm you have brought to your landscape. You will inspire others to beautify their yards.

Thank you again,

New England Arbors.

Photo Contest 2007William Yazujain

Hello,

I recently installed 2 of your Fairfield II arbors in the back yard of my Pennsylvania cape cod. I incorporated them into a 36" Fairway vinyl picket fence. I was undecided whether to install just the fence or go with the arbors too. As you can see, we made the right decision to include your arbors, since they showcase the entire project. Enclosed are a series of pictures of the completed project and the surrounding landscape. We would love to have them entered into your photo contest. Whatever the outcome, the arbors look great. Thanks for a quality product. They add a lot of class to the yard.

New England Arbors,

When I ordered your Large Pergola on line at home in California for our farm in Alabama I was not sure if it would be easy to assemble nor how it would look. Well, it was very easy for one person to assemble and it looks just perfect. I have enclosed an image for you to see the Pergola in a grove of trees on our farm.

Sincerely,
Dr. Walter H. Moore, Jr.

Photo Contest 2007William Campbell and his beautiful painting

It's not really a photo, but a pastel painting. Our New England Arbor is installed near a waterfall and goldfish pond in our backyard that has become a popular place for a plein air painting class in which I regularly participate since my retirement. The painting was featured in the Virginian-Pilot newspaper, which ran a story on the painting class. At night we spotlight our arbor and enjoy its dramatic contrast against the foliage.
This painting was done showing early morning and is entitled "Into The Light". Although not a legal contender for your photo contest, I thought you'd enjoy seeing the work.

Yours truly,

Bill Campbell

Hi,

I am pleased to send in pictures of my finished project. I wanted my grill to be enclosed while not in use and include a dramatic entrance into my backyard. Your Springfield Arbor was the perfect choice for fitting into the 5.5’ of property on the side of my house. I added pressure treated wood backing inside the arbor columns where they attach to the fence. Assembly was easy and the instructions are well written. I am looking forward to seeing the Bougainvilla and Mandevilla climb over the top.

Thanks for offering a great product!

Sincerely,

Jim Widar

Photo Contest 2007 Robert Westbrook for Cia Campbell

Hello,

I am a neighbor of Cia Campbell and am sending some updated pictures of her New England Arbor fence she installed this summer. It really adds a lot of "curb appeal" to the yard.

I am proud to have her as a neighbor. She is on a fixed income so I have been helping her to transform her former bare yard by removing two unsightly elm trees and turning it into a beautiful English perennial garden. The fences that frame either side of the front yard were the crowning touch for her yard makeover.

I took some more pictures of the yard after the fall color started to bloom here as we have had a late fall.

Thank you for your consideration of her yard. Her next purchase will be a New England Arbor for a focal point in the front yard.
Take care,

Robert Westbrook For: Cia Campbell

Mrs. Carol Holmes

New England Arbors,

Our backyard was barren with no privacy…A new garage and the curved driveway was enhanced with the combinations of the striking decorative Manchester Arbor and the “fence wings” designed for the Yorkshire Arbor.

This peaceful landscaping created a perfect place to sit back yourself. Hope you enjoyed the picture show!

New England Arbors,

We are the proud owner of one of your Arbors. We had a daughter who was a landscape designer, but we sadly lost her 4 years ago. This Arbor and the stepping stone beneath it is our way of remembering her.

I took many angles of the Arbor but this one seemed to fit in perfectly with our azaleas and rhodendrums. I enlarges the stone a little but to share the touching words. I think they compliment each other.

Photo Contest 2007Hope you like the photo’s!

Greetings,

I am enclosing for your consideration a photo of our new arbor. It was a Mothers Day gift for my wife. SHE LOVED IT! We installed the arbor at our home in Bayfield, WI. The folks at Authority Fence in Clearwater, MN were terrific to work with. Thank you for a first class product.
