In only a few weeks, we have found that our Keyhole Garden is growing vegetables very quickly. You can see how tall the plants are growing already. This is probably because of the rich nature of the soil.
We have also noticed that the Keyhole garden really consumes the compost, and each day it seems as the organic material inside the tunnel collapses. This is much faster than we ever anticipated.
Paul Smith, our Organic Farmer friend who is also prototyping the Keyhole Garden project is quite excited about the design. He believes that we should be able to grow some of the heartier vegetables throughout the winter.
We’re pretty excited to see this, and we plan on making preparations shortly.
