With growing environmental concerns and the struggle to slow down global warming, New England Arbors has taken a ‘green’ approach to conducting business. We understand that it takes great commitment and dedication to make an environmental impact through conservation and reduced consumption. That commitment is our continuing challenge.
How is New England Arbors making a difference?
- Our PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) products are made using recycled material on the inside of the extrusion. The outside layers are made of virgin PVC to keep the extrusion white for a life time. The percentage of recycled material varies from product to product.
- All paper, plastic, aluminium, wooden skids, corrugated boxes and even ink cartridges are recycled.
- PVC lasts a lifetime. Using PVC relieves pressure on deforestation concerns.
- PVC does not require painting or staining. Using other materials like wood or wrought iron requires regular maintenance. Chemicals from paint and stain can drain into the earth, wash into your streams and rivers and compromise fragile ecosystems.
- We strive to eliminate unnecessary packaging.
- We conserve natural resources by using energy and water wisely and seek further opportunities to improve the resource efficiency of our manufacturing plant.
- We comply with environmental laws and will maintain programs and procedures to ensure compliance.
- We encourage our customers and vendors to become more environmentally conscious.
- Because catalogs are often discarded and require trees to produce, we have invested in an online catalog that is easy to view and easy to use. Click "here" to access our online catalog.
At New England Arbors, we realize that being an efficient, profitable business while being environmentally conscious is an attainable and sustainable goal.
